1. Creating Templates

  • PKWay includes the selective upload feature that allows the print buyer to create a template from a closed file without the use of code or script. With selective upload, the print buyer is able to produce fields within the target file, which can later be completed by the various users within the print buyer organization.
  • With the PKWay selective upload: the user selects the fields to be customized.

2. Working with Existing Templates

  • Existing templates provide a convenient means for creating a library of jobs that will facilitate the reprinting of those same jobs in the future.
  • The templates are kept within the print buyer's personal account, allowing the print buyer immediate access to create personalized jobs.
  • The templates are created in a user-friendly environment.
  • The PKWay MailToPrint tool enables the user to send an existing template directly to the recipient's e-mail box. The recipient can then place an order based on the sent template directly from his mailbox.
  • The PKWay catalog tool enables administrators to forward selections of templates to recipients within the administrator's own company, either through the e-mail, or by exporting the selections as HTML files which can then be added to and ultimately accessed from the company web site. Users within the system can then select a template and place an order directly from their desktops.

3. Uploading a Ready File

  • Print buyers can work with any graphic software (FreeHand, Quark, Photoshop, MS Office etc.) and then produce a file that will be uploaded to the system in the form of PDF, PS, EPS, Word and PowerPoint. In addition, the print buyer can define all of the job properties for this digital file, definitions that the system will convert into a production job ticket.
  • The PKWay print driver feature enables the print buyer to place orders directly to the print provider production queue. Acting as the direct pipeline between the print buyer desktop and the print provider, the print driver streamlines the workflow, reducing time, errors, and costs for both the print provider and the print buyer.
